Date: May 9th 2008

I spent 5 hours on the tractor shredding the jungle today. It was hot, but the worst part was the grass/weed chaff blowing all around.

We had a new(returning) grower - Edgar from Costa Rica - last Sat. He is not certified organic but does follow organic guidelines. He had lots of stuff to offer, but will be absent this week and promises to return next Sat.

The Simmons family is down to only eggs till their other crops come in. And Franklin is having fun digging new potatoes each week to bring to the market with his carrots, onions, pinto beans and maybe sugar snap peas.

I will of course be there with eggs, tomatoes, burpless cucumbers, colored sweet bell peppers, squash, zucchini, pecan tarts, fresh baked breads, canned goods, pestos, dried fruit, dried tomatoes, herb plants, eggplant, tomato and pepper plants, and fertilizer.

THANKS, THANKS, TAHNKS. SAFM
